I liked the article on the MMO 'Love' (www.quelsolaar.com). Not only does it look fab with those watercolor type graphics but it's heartening to see that after declaring only a few years ago that the bedroom programmer is dead that solo programmers and small indies are finding a way.

Twas also cool in the Life and Death article to see that System Shock 2 featured in both their top five greatest gaming experiences :D

Holy cow! After all these years I finally get to 1000 posts!

quite shocked at the bioshock review, i know they loved the 1st but 9? its 8 max. wish they would hurry & do a proper website so i can read the reviews again.

and does it seem foolish to anyone else that FF13 & White Knight Chronicles are coming out very near each other? cant help thinking WKC is going to suffer.

The gist of it is that there's no big hair and spandex, it's all 'sensible haircuts and trendy clothes'. Says the Beatles get a nice colourful opening animation and Metallica have a good opening but the Van Halen opening looks like the support act.

A few good songs to start off with....says something about no-one wanting to be Wolfgang...advances by GH5 aren't here so it follows GH: Metallica but feels like "an ommission heavy 'greatest hits' package cobbled together before xmas instead of an all inclusive package of which to be proud". And there's no songs of theirs after 1984. Final nail is that Activision gave it away free as a pre-order bonus for GH5 and while as a freebie it's okay, for full price it's pants.

Well from what I've hear and read elsewhere: apparently it's some Stalinist revisionist version of Van Halen, who stopped making music in 1984, and only ever had one lead singer.

Also, the supporting tracklist is said to be a little weak.

Agreed, I really like the look of it, but a few weeks after release it will be under £20 and I'll happily give it a go.

And there's no songs of theirs after 1984.

Possibly one of the main reasons I'd be getting it - Sammy Hagar was shit.

And marking something down because of its opening? What is this, 1995?

For shame, g™, for shame.
