Some of stuff I've been listening too a lot the last few weeks:

Crone - Godspeed (Kind of like a post-rock version of Alice in Chains)

Octopus - Supernatural Alliance (Retro-y metal with a bit of psychedelic rock thrown in)

Deathwhite - For a Black Tomorrow (Hard rock with a gothic influence)

Barren Earth - A Complex of Cages (Prog/doom Death Metal. I love this band, the vocalist is fucking awesome)

Death Alley - Superbia (Hard rock of the Blue Oyster Cult variety)

Morrow - Fallow (Not even sure how to describe this, but they call themselves crust punk so lets go with that)

Huntsmen - American Scrap (Sludgy prog metal)

Usurpress - Interregnum (Basically just standard euro death metal but really well done)

Solstice - White Horse Hill (Doom with an epic feel)

Hellripper - https://hellripper.bandcamp.com/

Cannibal Corpse - Even surprised myself I can listen to them

Dust Bolt - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UHyY_64qvg

Hellripper are brilliant, like a black metal version of Kill 'em All. If you like that kind of black metal / thrash metal crossover Phylactery, Skeletonwitch, Necropanther, All Hail and Affliktor all hit that kind of spot too.

I am *really* not on the same page as you guys when it comes to music. Currently listening to a load of accoustic and oldie stuff, Cat Stevens, Jodie Taylor, Bowie, as well as some half decent Japanese artists (Sheena Ringo, Tokyo Ska Paradise orchestra).

That said, I did see Hi Standard with Maximum the Hormone supporting with the wife last November. That was kinda fun.
