Wow I never expected that score for Demons Souls, I've heard a lot about it on podcasts at how it takes you, bends you over and rapes you!!

As for Assassins Creed II can't wait until Xmas when I get it!! Also after the 4 they gave the 1st one means this IS awesome.

Yeah I've been interested in it too, but the difficulty puts me right off. They've incorporated some pretty unique online elements though, I love the idea of stumbling into other players clues and warnings, if used right it could be an immense system. I'll buy it cos it's Atlus anyway

i think demons souls is meant to be a purists games similar to vagrant story getting 40/40 in famitsu - ie: shit hard and if you dont get on with it you'll think "how the fuck is this a 10?".

id say its marmite gaming (from what ive read).

id get it though if i had a ps3.

Assassin's Creed 2 seems to be receiving a mixed bag of scores. it doesnt appeal to me as a franchise tbh.

Isnt the Monkey Island series consitently scoring highly! I loved Episode 3, but didnt think it could get better - colour me excited!

I havent played AC1, so wont be getting AC2 - I hate jumping on band wagons and joining a series half way through!

So buy AC1 then It's well worth the cash in my opinion and if you play it in short bursts then the repetitive nature of each assassination, or rather the missions leading up to it are not too bad.

It's basically 9 missions of pickpocket this, listen in on this conversation, climb this tower, rinse, repeat. However if you do it 1 at a time, go on some flag hunts, and go back to it, it truly is a great game. By the time you finish it the new one will be cheaper.

Don't miss out on a classic, especially as you can pick it up for less than £10 new these days.
