Greg Miller at IGN played this from 9am to 6pm yesterday and livestreamed it. I tuned in out of curiosity and left it on for 4 hours. I really want this now!

I am part way through watching the Giant Bomb Quick Look on this, the cities don't seem very big? Also, it seems a bit 'vanilla', wonder if they say, "hey we took your feedback and added massive cities in this expansion, open your wallets fuckers".

Apparently the Mac version will be out in the spring, and will be a native version. Excellent. Just have to wait for that now.

The city size is a bit limited, but I've found the multiplayer aspects really compelling so far. Taking your neighbours into consideration, you can specialise in particular aspects (requiring more residents, workers or visitors) that mean you don't need or want to do everything in one plot. I'm actually spread across two "cities" in a region of 16, with each concentrating on different aspects of development.
I'm guessing it's the same thing if you want to pick a private server and do it all yourself, the region becomes your real city, with each plot just a part in the grander picture.
