Yes I have had the former problem as well, hit reply again and it usually works. This is the thing with free software, there is no technical help outside of someone on their forum's goodwill. Usually you see hundreds of posts asking the same thing and they are largely ignored. If I had the cash I could buy some "proper" CMS software, but we are talking in the hundreds of pounds area, so it's not going to happen soon!

The second issue:
Click on the "reply" button rather than using the quick reply box. Type in your reply, and make sure the "always attach my signature" box there is ticked as well. It appears they duplicated the function, and you have to have the one in the reply box and in your profile ticked for it to work sometimes. You should only have to do this once.

I ticked the box in Jusat's profile earlier as it was unticked, but it did nothing, so hopefully that duplication thing helps it.

I think the sig file was too large maybe...

(it was this by the way).

As for the timing out, it's not really a big deal, as said, I just re-submit and it works most of the time, was just wondering if there was a fix.

The size shouldn't matter, only if it's being uploaded to this sites servers. If it's remotely hosted you can link any size file you want (within reason)

Just a shame it's so massive. It's nearly half a meg!

It's a good job it's Carlton dancing Jusat, otherwise you might have trouble on your hands.

I have "sync'd" the forums which might reduce some of the timeout errors, we shall see.

Is it time to merge the E3 forum threads into General Gaming until next year?

I'm always getting that, I thought it was me being a spastic with my mouse.

Obviously not if you guys have had it as well. I wouldn't say it's a major problem, but it's a little annoying.

I have not had this, but I recommend using the reply button and making sure the "Notify me of new posts in this thread" tick box is unticked for a while, see if it still does it.

Again, there's not a lot I can do other than make sure things aren't ticked here and there as it's free software...

I had it too, an d it does seem to be when you use the reply button rather than the fast reply button (I use both depending on what I'm replying with)

From what Riva has said that makes sense.

It might be a default for the forum that it assumes you want to get the notifications for the thread if you click the reply button.

I never use the notifications, so you can put me down in the 'get rid' column.

I have turned them off for now, if someone says they are missing them, I will see about turning them back on. I don't see a use for them personally, but each to their own.

I have more notifications.Curious.And I also only use the reply box for posts if that means anything.Unless the notifications were before you disabled them.Anyways I dont use notifications so stick me down in the 'get rid' column.

They are probably old ones, there shouldn't be any new ones at all now.
